Remember when Nicolas Cage starred in a Simon West film as a good-hearted ex-con who, upon his release from prison, just wanted to give his beloved daughter a stuffed animal but was instead sucked into a complicated plot involving kidnapping, multi-million dollar ransom requests, long greasy hair, and longer, greasier Southern accents?  Well, it is happening again.

Followed by a hat-obsessed cop.  Betrayed by his Screenplay 101 thievery gang.  Disliked by a teenager.  Nic suffers through all of these indignities and more while chasing comically vile villain Josh Lucas (trying to out-Cage the Cager in every scene) through the streets of New Orleans to win his daughter’s love and to prove that he definitely burned $10 million in an abandoned warehouse eight years ago and didn’t stuff any of it in his cargo pants for later, could you please stop asking about that?
